You can try writing a narritive where the protagoinst overcomes some type of obstacle to achive their dream caused by pressures of society. Maybe a misfortunate character who finally recieves a college education. Or a story set in past times with a woman who makes an achievement thought not possible by males and other older generation women alike. Another idea is possibly a character who believes in an invention, and dreams to make it work and prove that they have accomplishe something. These are just some ideas, well godd luck with your narrative.

This is a quote from 98 Reasons for Being by Claire Dudman. Look on pages 127 and 128 for this specific quote.

The quote is also listed in Great Thoughts, Revised and Updated by George Seldes. Look on page 409 for "dare to be wrong and dream" in this book.

Knowing the original author and what was in her head when she wrote it will help you gain a lot of insight into the quote. Relate her narrative to something that clicks with you in your own life, and your narrative should start writing itself.

What if somebody told you to couldn't do something, but you knew you could. You would be daring to be wrong, because if you are wrong and can't do it, you're going to get an "I told you so." You are also dreaming of better things by exploring what you're capable of. Write something along those lines.

If you need a subject, try Fred Smith of Fed Express. He came up with the idea in college - his professor gave him a poor grade on the paper because he thought the idea was terrible. Smith eventually started the company anyway...look at him now!
