Okay, so I have this really good friend named Ryan. He is so important to me. I really care about him, but more like a brother. But I found outhe smoked pot. At first I thought it was just a stupid rumor, then I saw him. And I started getting phone cals from him while he was stoned, or I would cal him and he would be stoned. And I could always smell it on him. I also saw him going into theboys bathroom with one of his friends sneaking co.caine in with them. I never thought he would do this. It worries me so much. I've tried talking to him about it but he either doesn't say anything or breaks down and cries. Please help me! I don't know what to do!

Make sure you let him know that you're going to be there for him---but make sure you mean it. Drug addiction can be scary because a lot of times you're not dealing with the person you're dealing with the drug(s). By him crying it sounds like he might be battling some kind of depression so I would suggest you tell him that you would support him if he wants to get help. But if he refuses you really might need to go to someone who can help him. He might be mad at first but eventually he will thank you for it. Good Luck!

By breaking down and crying, he saying I want help and I need your help. He feels comfortable with you. I suggest, if you're willing to. To spend more time with him doing good things. That will take his mind off whatever he's trying to escape from while doing drugs and gives him less time to do them as well. Talk to him and if things get really bad ask for help.

Do an intervention. Don't let him get addicted. Because if he gets addicted, his life will be totally ruined. And if he loves his pot more, then you're probably gonna have to cut off all connections to him.

you are doing your best by trying to help him...you should try to find out a reason of why he's doing that...problems, pressure...
Tell him that you care about him and doing that will only bring bad results....Also try talking to his family but tell them to be patient.
He really needs help and you're doing your best...good luck..
