so
my friends and i have a band
and we're are'nt signed
but we record and cut our own albums on my computer
we just finished our first album
and we wanna start our next
but we're out of ideas
we wanna write a song about our band director
he was really close to us
but he just resigned
so we wanna write a song about how much we miss him
does any body have any ideas that we could use to get started

maybe instead of a song that directly says "i miss you" in the lyrics, you could zone in on a certain memory you have together, and just right about that moment, sort of an indirect way of saying how much you miss the times you had together.
