They hate it for many reasons... I do because it's unintelligent children's programming. Its portrayal of combat is cartoonish and I think damaging. First off, their moves are flashy, pointless, and in a real fight they'd all be dead in like 5 seconds. Second, their fighting doesn't solve anything - the villains are back again the next day, back in business. Third, having people get shot with "lasers" and such and not be maimed or killed tells children that brutal violence is fun and cool, rather than a necessary evil. Fourth, giant robot battles should typically cause massive collateral damage and human suffering; demonstrating that force must always be used with discipline and a sense of social responsibility.
Mainly though I dislike it because it's a total rip-off of VOLTRON, a superior children's cartoon from the 1980s.

I used to love the Power Rangers in the early 90's but now they got annoying and just lame. I mean, they just got too technical and the story lines aren't as positive for kids anymore. It was meant for the 90's but not today.

I don't hate them, per-say...but they do wander on the line of homosexuality. Not that there is anything wrong with that or "insert politically correct backpedaling here."

not sure if why matters, most little boys love them, mine do. that is why they are still here. i know i don't like all those movements they do just to show you who is talking. it is just ridiculous.
