Well as much as Israel would like to place all Palestinians in Gaza and make that Palestine,no,Gaza is only part of the future independent state Palestine...hopefully alongside with West Bank...They withdrew form Gaza, but they never "left":"Gaza residents know that significant aspects of their lives - the ability to exit or enter Gaza, the supply of medicine, fuel and other basic goods, the possibility to transport crops to export markets, the ability to use electric lights - depend on decisions made by Israel's military."...So I wouldn't say that Palestinians have full control on Gaza. The Israeli army can enter Gaza whenever they want and do whatever they want...If Gaza was the Palestinian state, that should never happen...

Gaza is the coastal side of the Palestinian state and west bank is the Eastern part of Palestine. The world problem with Israel is that Israel want to keep occupying land that was never part of Israel.

the west bank and the gaza strip together (known as the OPT - Occupied Palestinian Territories) are what should be the basis of the Palestinian state if it weren't illegally occupied by israel and more recently carved up by the apartheid wall that the international court of justice ruled illegal.

It would be a part of it, if and when it is officially created, though it is de facto at the moment. Along with the West Bank, which is the much larger portion.
