I have been prompted to download this new version of Internet Explorer and I hate it!

Nothing looks the same, my computer keeps crashing every few minutes and I've totally lost control of the machine.

Everytime I click on the EI icon the page open and then freezes so I have to shut down my computer. This doesnt happen when I open without add ons, whatever the hell they are, but if I click a link on something like MSN today the whole thing starts again and my compurter crashes.

To make matters worse, for some reason my computer isnt allowing me to do a system restore to get rid of the damn thing and any ideas how I could get round this would be greatly appreciated.

What are these add ons?

How can I get my computer to function by using them if I cant get rid of this new internet explore?

Does anyone else have problems with this thing?

Is this some sort of virus?

PLEASE help me before I have a breakdown or the laptop goes through the window!!!!

Technically 7.0 is not Beta and was released weeks ago.
However, it's simply not stable.

Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Click on it and Uninstall. You will revert to IE 6

Simply Uninstall Internet Explorer 7 with the add remove programs in the control panel. Restart the computer and you will be back to IE6
Don't use system restore for this problem.

NOTE:
IE7 comes as part of the Windows Updates so if you have automatic updates turned ON it may download again automatically.

i could. *lol* in case you have been inquiring for version numbers i could be nerve-racking. yet yeah, that's a sort of bargains: i do unlike disruptions to my prevalent daily stuff. And studying an entire new browser and getting THAT safeguard on my pc could be a disruption. to no longer point out, my hard disk drives (i think of I even have "2" however the different one may be a logical partition, i'm unsure) are small-ish. i do no longer possibly have room to run 2 browsers at as quickly as, any further than i will run 2 finished anti-virus classes at as quickly as (firewalls, greater effective crap and all). issues get heavily bloated and then my pc slows to a dying-circulate slowly as my substantial hard disk a lot up. And nicely, i've got heard Chrome gets heavily bloated, even worse than IE does in some techniques.

You should be able to remove IE7. Simply go to Add/Remove programs.

Right click on the big E on your desktop and try and open IE7 without add-ons, does that work?

If IE6 is clean going to IE7 should not be any problem. All of the big problems I have run into with IE7 is when it was loaded on top of a copy of IE6 that had toolbars and other add-ons. IE7 tries to run those add-ons even though they were not designed for it. How to clean IE6 is a big enough topic in itself that I won't go into it here.

Beta version 7.0? UNINSTALLING IT WILL TAKE YOU BACK TO YOUR LAST VERSION. although microshaft may be ready to stuff it down our throats in time for vista. the rest of the world is not!
