I love Summer!!!! Warmer, longer days, water fights, ice cubes in drinks.... everyone just seems happier and its great to see everyone out and about! Can't wait! At the moment I'm convinced there are only two Seasons in the UK, Summer and Dull season which can from rain to almost warm, but I like it hot!! Unfortunately this Season seems to make up 70% of the year :(

I would have to say mine would be late spring and early summer (around now. :) ). I love the "gracefulness" and "charm" of so many plants at this time. Delicate little columbine heads nodding in the breeze and graceful pretty dianthus in full bloom...... not to mention the other "show=stoppers" like the poppies - (annual and perennial) and the clematis etc. There are still a few late spring bloomers (like tulips) sticking around and still a touch of those sweet, delicate spring flowers (like violets) It's also the best smelling season I'd say. Late lilacs and sweet violets and lilies of the valley and the first blooms of roses. Love it. Late summer/fall is always my least favorite season for flowers. The colors (rusts, oranges, bright yellows) are not my favorite and there is something "crude" about the fall landscape of flowers in general (gangly sunflowers rough heleniums and rudbeckias and weedy asters)......

Spring because it ages till the winter because winters just gone, and you're looking forward to the summer. Not summer cos you know the next season after will be colder!

My favorite season is fall because summer just ended, and the leaves are changing colors, and winter is about to start, and its usually windy, and it just feels good outside. Its not too hot, and its not too cold.

Winter.
I like: snuggling up in the duvet when it's cold, Christmas, (and Christmas dinner), also, an odd one I know, but I like it when it rains, especially when it rains really hard and bangs on the window, I like that sound. Christmas holiday (4 weeks now that I'm at uni!!). Wearing really thick socks. Wellies!! Wrapping up in a really long scarf. Mittens. Snow (a rarity, but nice when it comes, if it comes...)

Autumn in Edinburgh is divine, especially if you walk up through the meadows through Marchmont to the Braid Hills.

Fall...the crisp air, the warm days and chilly, wonderfully clear night. The colors, richer than summer could ever aspire to, and yet dying, giving meaning to depth and warmth and promise of renewal. Yes, Fall....perfect.
