Head over to http://www.craigslist.com and put in free ads in Toronto and Tampa (and wherever else you want) under RIDESHARE for a driver to take your car to Tampa for you.

Make sure you get copies of their driver's license and insurance policy, and make them pay for the gas. You can set ground rules like no smoking in the car, and what the time frame is for delivery.

Have your local police department run their license for wants and warrants before handing over your car.

Not sure about cross border shipping but In Canada It's cheaper to have a car shipped by rail across country than it would cost for gas and lodging to drive it.

So you're just shipping it and not "importing" it.. unfortunately we can't give you a number because your takeoff point was specfic and the dropoff point was an entire country.. so the range is $800-$2200US
