Geezz woman! No it is not okay! The kid can't crave for something he has never tasted. Try reading about the risks of drinking coffee. Calories, turns your teeth black, caffeine. Don't even get him started on crap like that. Sodas are bad too! We have a rule in our house that if mommy and daddy don't drink it then neither can you. If you absolutely have to have it then have a cup before he wakes up or while he is taking a nap or after he has gone to bed but it's not fair to let him see you drink it and tell him no to the same drink.

Coffee at such a young age is a no-no. My son disliked the taste of formula after being breastfed, and his prediatrician told me to add a little bit of vanilla or chocolate pediasure (or store brand) to his formula. He took right to it! For every 9 ounce bottle, I do 8 oz of formula and 1 oz PediaSure.
Adding PediaSure to your baby's milk will not only help your child to accept it, but it's an added benefit because it's chocked full of nutritional goodies.
Good Luck!

You are giving your child caffeine and it is addictive. Why would you give him something that is addictive? If he doesn't like mild by itself at least find something other than coffee to put in it like (Nesltes) Strawberry or some other flavor, but coffee, never. That is a bad habit for adults, let alone a child.

What the heck is wrong with people today?

Don't you have any dang common sense??

Why don't you give him a tattoo, a cigarette and some scotch while you're at it?

Just in case the sarcasm is lost on you...NO it is not advisable to give a beverage with an addictive chemical that can stunt growth to a child. I don't think that would be an intelligent thing to do.

Caffeine can seriously stunt your child's growth. Bad idea. Some kids do like it, though ... my mom gave my 1-year-old nephew a quick sip of straight black coffee, thinking that he'd hate it and leave the coffee mugs alone. Unfortunately, he loved it. We STILL don't let him have it, though. You have to do what's best for your child, not what's easiest.

I would avoid coffee, tea or any heavily caffeinated drinks for a long time yet!
If he doesn't like his milk add a little horlicks or Ovaltine to it, just to give him a different taste.

No he shouldn't have coffee but you can make him chocolate milk. My son didn't like milk by itself so my pediatrician suggested chocolate milk and of course he loves it!

never give a child under the age of 18 coffee... he wouldn't be craving it if you didn't give it to him in the 1st place. it has simillar effect to alcohol.
