You need to talk to Rachel. She has hurt you and since you've been friends for so long, you have a right to know why she didn't consider you.
I don't mean to stereo-type but as a mom, teacher, and former teenager, I recall how cruel girls can be. I don't know why, but it is very common. Boys tend to fight it out and get over it but girls use their words and actions and these are very difficult to overcome.
When you talk to Rachel, just let her know you had hurt feelings. Don't be pissy and don't be mean back to her. That will just keep it going.
Good luck!

Aww man. I had a friend liek that. You know what? As you grow older and get into high school and college you find better friends. You think this girl from preschool should be your best friend and tthat the friendship will last forever but then you meet that person in highschool or college and you've been friends for like a month and there are already other people saying you two look like you've been friends forever. Trust me, I ahd the exact same thing happen to me. Just don't give her the satisfaction of your agony and find a better friend and she'll come crawling back.

Tell her that you were hurt by not being invited and see what she has to say.
I really think you may have to re-evaluate the idea of calling her your best friend, as a true best friend would have had your name at the top of the invite list.
I would ask her if she intends to repeat the performance again or if you are going to be invited to other things in her life. Whatever she says I don't think I would be too impressed with her for leaving you out.
You may want to consider finding a few new people to hang out with as obviously she has already done so.

Girl, mabye its time to find neew friends. I'm not saying to stop being friends with her, just countinue to make new friends. You know like that song "make new friends but keep the old one is silver and the others gold". Lol! I know it sounds so stupid but just go with it. If you have known each other since pre-k you guys should have enough trust in each other to be friends with other people! It will all work out in the end! I hope all goes well! Good Luck!
P.S just be yourself!

Although its sucks not to be invited to a party, i think your friend was just looking out for you. Do you think you would have had fun with a bunch of people you don't know talking about things you weren't even there for? Not that your friend was right because she should have invited you because that's what real friends do.

Tell her that u were p/o-ed and why. If she even jokes about leaving you out, then you're giving more to the friendship than she is.
