No, I find these teasers to be quite irritating, and I choose to remain ignorant out of spite.

Important for who? I find that they are rarely important for me and only important for the guy trying to sell me something that you I want be it commercial or political. No I don't have time for those kind of people trying to selfishly insinuate themselves into my reality, they just annoy me. I know where to get the information I need.
