I am hoping that he does win the Oscar. I think he gave the performance of his career in "The Pursuit of Happyness".

I think Will Smith will win an Oscar someday, but it won't be for this movie. He did excellent work in "Pursuit of Happyness," but he starred opposite his son which makes it seem more like a vanity project. I think he has to prove himself a little more as a serious actor before the academy takes notice and forgives his earlier "save-the-world-action-star" roles.

Personally I think Will Smith is an ego maniac but he is very intelligent and is a very good actor who has developed over time and has progressed from a boy to a very good and convincing actor. I think he deserves the award based on being simply original at what he does.

Well, if you're talking about Pursuit Of Happyness, I think it's the best work I've seen him do. He certainly deserves serious consideration.

If it's about Pursuit of Happiness, then I really do think so. He did a great job and I think all the money he earned out of that movie, he deserved it. :]
