Is she breastfed? It is totally NORMAL for many breastfed babies to begin skipping days around this age. Some BF babies only poop once a week (and LOOK OUT when they do!). It's not a problem. Breastmilk is a natural laxative. It's not constipation unless the stools are dry, hard and formed. It's just that the nutrients in the breastmilk are so well-used by the body that there is little waste!

Is she bottle fed or breast fed?
Breast fed babies can go up to 5 days without a bowel movement, do not panic, my last daughter was like that, it took a while before I stopped worrying about her, but she was never grumpy/colicky, she just didn't poo much!
If you have recently changed from breast to bottle, she may well be a little blocked up, a little bit of orange juice on a spoon, should help move things along.

Light corn syrup, put a teaspoon in a bottle and shake it up then feed it to her. It should help. I would also call the doctor. There is a medicine called Lactulose that your doc can prescribe that is clear and tasteless and can be put in anything. It really helps.
It is very important not to let this go on. A single painful bowel movement can teach a young child to "hold it" and therefore start a terrible chain reaction.

OMG DON'T FEED A ONE MONTH OLD BABY FOOD!!! Not that you even could if you wanted to!
Formula or breast milk, that is all!!! PLEASE don't feed your child anything else, I can't imagine doing that!!!
For now though, use light corn syrup. An infant that young doesn't need fruit juice (dangerous to their little system) and corn syrup was reccomended for both my babies. A teaspoon in a bottle a time or two should help.

It depends on if your child is breastfed or formula. Babies who drink formula do not poop as much. However I had that same problem and I was told to use children's Glycerin suppositories. I broke one in half. About 1 hour later she pooped. I do not use more than 1. I would call her doctor and see what she thinks. Hope it helps.

you know that use to happen to my baby when he was that age. (he is now 4 months) and i use to worry so much about it. his pediatrician said not to worry. if the baby isn't screaming and bringing her legs up to her chest she is not constipated. you know when a baby is constipated. they will cry, alot to let you know something is wrong. is she crying? if so ask your doctor about gas drops. also if she is crying alot and is constipated try breastfeeding her. if she is already breastfeed try drinking more water and eating less cheese so that the breastmilk won't make her constipated.

sWarm apple juice. If you breast feed then YOU need to eat only salad and citrus fruit and whole grains for a day. And maybe red wine or vinegar.

I gave all 4 of my babies warm apple juice. I did not give them baby food until 6 month but I started with juice at 4 weeks! I breast fed and a juice bottle was their only bottle. Just dilute the juice.

Call the doctor and get some professional advice. We used prune juice mixed in the formula. Be patient, and be there for your poor little kid. Good luck--

If you are breastfeeding, they might not even need to go for about a fortnight. How do you know if she is constipated ?
