You can get into med school from any good university, but the med schools know that the competition at the elite schools like Duke, the Ivies, Stanford, etc is fierce, and they respect the graduates of those schools more. You can check on line for quite a few schools and they will list what per cent of their premed students get accepted to med school on their first try. For elite schools it is often 70 -80% of the graduates. For ordinary schools it might be more like 30% or less. In the case of big state universities, only a very small percent of the kids who start as premeds in freshmen year ever go to med school. They get flunked out of the program long before they are seniors. In one state school I visited recently only 15 of 190 premed majors got A in the organic chem course last fall. For 175 kids that was the end of their med school hopes right there.
So, when you go to a better undergraduate school your chances of admission to a med school are definitely better.

The easier the school the better it is for you. I am not saying take the easy way out, and go to the worst school, but dont go into the most competitive schools either, because your chances of getting into med school are lower. There is no great colleges that get you ready for med school, because ALL of them do. The harder the college you go into, the less your chances are if getting into med school. So enjoy yourself in college, because med school is hell.

One that offers the classes required by med schools. Otherwise, the more prestigious the university, the better your grades will look compared to someone with an identical GPA but from a lesser ranked uni.
