Like what is the biggest amount of RAM that a computer with Windows 98 hold?

Please don't tell me that I should get a new computer with Windows Vista. Don't worry about me, soon I will get a better computer thatn yours.

i think its 512mb 98 actually can hold 2gb but theres a bug in the software which only allows it to use 512. and dont get vista get leopard.

your motherboard specs will determine the amount of ram you can add to the system. research online at the website of the manufacturer of your system board and find out the maximum amount of ram, type of ram, (and appropriate speed) it can handle.

In theory, 4gb. I reality, 2gb. In practice, the motherboard chipset determines the max.

it is not windows 98that hold the ram its your computer how old is it ? try 256mbr
