Here are some suggestions.
Beware: they're all pretty pricey.
Mastro's (steaks)
McCormick & Schmick's (chain, but still great)
Arnie Morton's (steaks)
Kate Mantilini's (comfort food - mid-expensive)
Jacopo's (pizza - less expensive)

My favorite is Mako. The chef used to be executive chef at Spago's. This is a small, cozy restaurant serving asian food in Beverly Hills. www.makorestaurant.com

My family an I will go to the Hotel Bel-Air Restaurant for breakfast. It's good, but pricey. Each time we go we always spot a celebrity, so that's kind of fun.

there are so many but it depends on what cuisine you like?
Ciello is sooo romantic
Mastros for steak or crustacian for seafood have great "LA Movie people" vibes.
The blvd. is new and sophisticated at the Four Seasons on Wilshire blvd. and also at the same hotel is Wolfgang Puck's new joint, Chop.
