My dog chewed through the back seat belts that have both a lap and shoulder strap. I had her restrained in her own dog seatbelt, but she chewed through that too.

I've read through my owners manual and tried searching yahoo and google for instructions. The manual shows how to fold down the back seat (it doesn't show how to install replacement belts), but both ways it shows of doing that don't work for my car. The back seat is one seat. I couldn't find any button or strap on top of the seat or on the bottom of it to unlatch the seat and fold it down... I bet it's something easy that will make me slap my forehead when I find out how to do it.

I've already bought the replacement belts at a local salvage yard. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I will try what Yeah We Got That suggested tomorrow.

I love repair manuals like Chilton's, but unfortunately I don't have the money to buy one right now.

You will need to unhook the bottom part of the seat first, you do this by pretty much yanking upward on either side. I normally move the drivers seat all the way up then stand over the rear seat facing the trunk of the car. Get your hands underneath the seat between the cushion and the carpet floor. Once you get the bottom out, you will see 2 or 3 bolts to unscrew before releasing the back part of the seat.

I would recommend a Haynes or Chilton repair manual if you are looking to do this yourself. Personally I like the Haynes (http://www.haynes.com/na.html) manuals as they don't cram too many vehicles into a single book. Unfortunately their site was down for maintenance so I didn't see a price but the local auto store should have one of these two brands of manuals. Some shops even have sets that can be reviewed in the store if you don't want to buy them.

I believe that the seats should almost "pop" out if you pull from the proper place. After that, the seat belt retractor should be bolted to the body of the vehicle (you'll want a socket set or at least a crescent wrench to keep from stripping any of the bolt heads).
