mmm beer... what's the best beer you buy from the grocery store?

my favorite is heineken, and dos equis .... but i'm lookin for other one's to try, so what are your fav grocery store beers?

Meh...you can say it's about this and that-but basically it boils down to revenue;selling beer makes a lot of profit (as well as tax revenue) for provincially owned crown corporations-allowing private sellers(be it grocery stores or convenience stores) to sell beer cuts into the revenue stream for government.Here in New Brunswick about 20 years ago they woke up and realized that they (the government)were losing money since people were going to grocery stores in Quebec and Maine to buy booze (particularly on Sundays when provincial stores were closed) so eventually they backed off and allowed private sellers-mostly small corner stores,scattered out here and there to sell booze.

New Glarus Belgium Red. They sell it at most Pick n Saves here in the Milwaukee area. The beer originates near Madison, Wisconsin but because of Spottedcow, it is starting to become recognized nationally. The beer is expensive at $7.00 for a 750 ml bottle but it is unlike any beer you have had before. I have yet to find a women who will turn down drinking this beer.

Hmm...not all grocery stores will carry these, but in Seattle you can get Sierra Nevada pale ale, Stella Artois, Wolaver's...even Chimay (belgian). Chimay would be my pick. It's so yummy! If you can't get these, I'd go for Newcastle or Beck's.

none, because in stupid Pennsylvania, you can't buy beer in grocery stores...you have to go to a beer distributor

when I go there, my favorite is Yuengling Lager, or Labatt Blue
