He didn't see his shadow.
With all the camera lights you'd think he'd see it every year!
Early spring, yeah. Wind chill is below 0 today.

Jimmy the Groundhog in Sun Prairie, Wis., saw his shadow today, and predicted six more weeks of winter.
The more famous Punxsutawney Phil, however, did not see his shadow at Punxsutawney, Pa., thus predicting an early spring.

It does really matter. Either way you look at it, it's 6 more weeks of winter or 6 more weeks until spring. Six weeks is 6 weeks whether the rodent saw his shadow or not.

He was on TV, and it was sunny, so he DID see his shadow, no early spring. Six more weeks of winter....drat!!!
The groundhog thing is based on ONE groundhog, Puxasutawny (sp?) Phil, who was on TV this morning, in the sunshine, looking at his shadow. on Good Morning America, now you know how reliable they are. I'm in Flower Mound, looking out at my snow-capped Azaleas....brrrrr

hmmm, let's see. Wow ONLY six more weeks of spring. If he hadn't seen it we would say, "Gosh, six more LONG weeks of winter!" It lands on the same day every year, so big deal. Warm weather will come when warm weather comes I guess, Phil should just crawl back in and catch as many winks as he can!

Well if he didnt see his shadow, there isnt any sun so it should still be winter, but if he does see his shadow and runs back into his hole, its winter too. The whole system is obselete.
