I was in my own house, I threatened a guy that lives a few blocks away from me because he ripped me off on work i did on a house, so i knocked on his door and told him to come outside and he slammed the door, i went home and the police showed up and i told them i did nothing wrong run my record its clean ,he (the cop)came back from his car asked what happened , told him what happened , he got smart with me and i told him to go f k himself. Now i heard from one of my friends that i might have a misdeameanor bench warrant for disorderly conduct. How can i be accused of disorderly conduct if i was in my own house. And i have freedom of speech. Any thoughts on this, people that know law.

I guess if i do have a warrant , im gonna turn myself in and hopefully get a personal bond and fight it.I dont run from problems that makes it worse.I will even apoligize to the cop, i was a little out of line for saying that. Im looking into freedom of speech in the law books on what i said and saying it to a cop.He should have arrested me right then and there if telling him that was illegal.

Even though you were at your house at that time the warrant can be issued for what happened at the other guys house. You didnt help your case making the cop mad!

Several issues here: first, not knowing where you live, it's hard to quote the law since it is different from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.

However, generally, yes, the officer can charge you with disorderly conduct and obtain a bench warrant for disorderly conduct if you violate the community standards for where you live. One of those standards is probably that you're not supposed to tell a police officer to **** himself.

The fact that you were in your own house is negated by the fact that the police officer was investigating a complaint. You could very easily have been charged with obstruction of justice, too.

The other issue is your demeanor when you told the neighbor to "come outside". If the neighbor felt threatened in any way, you could have much more serious problems than just a disorderly conduct problem. You could be looking at assault or intimidation if the neighbor decides to file a complaint.

Were I you, I'd take a long look at the way you interact with others.

You can not under any circumstances tell a cop that.
You probly got it for fifth degree assult;telling a cop to f themselves falls under this category.
And a bench warrent is issued if you don't show up for a court date.
