With temperatures under 50 degrees, does it matter what temperature it is in order to paint? Cause here is the deal, my boss wants me to paint his house just so it will look good for reapprasial and then he is residing his house afterwards... so it doesnt have to be a good job, but at the same time, will it still be able to dry? Thanks!

They have acrylic paints now for low temps as low as 35 degrees and that's in a 24 hr period meaning if it's 35 during the day if it drops to 30 at night that's not good. I don't paint any less than 40 degrees and that would be in your situation with your boss, I'm from old school, NOTHING LESS THAN 50 DEGREES ! Oil base is still 50 degrees. I'm glad your taking pride in your work as far as doing the job correctly and not just grab the cash and run. Start your own business, you'll go places. good luck

It depends on the paint, if it is emulsions then you should be OK but if it is paint then it may take a bit longer to dry. Although if the house is warm but also well ventilated to let the fumes out, you should be OK.

Cold weather is not the best for painting, I think it even says it on the can. Go to your local paint store and talk to them.

I hope you boss is paying you, or else you can report him ;). You can paint at any temperature as long as it's not sub-zero outside.
