The reason you get a cold is that your immune system is not working at it's full maximum. You need to boost that immune system.
If I feel I'm coming down with a cold, I get rid of it in one day by taking nucleotides from: www. healthline.cc Take 2 every hour when you feel the cold coming on and it will be gone by the next day. If you get a cold, take them and you will get rid of the cold within 2 days.
It really works and there is good reason for it. Nucleotides were discovered by the Swed scientists studying the immune system about 15 years ago. DON'T get a flu shot! It will compromise your immune system, give you mercury from the Thimersol (used as a preservative in the shots) that causes Alzheimer's, and has not been proven to prevent the flu.
Do not take over the counter or prescription medications. These will pollute the body and the toxins produced by them will extend the cold.
The nucleotides really work. It's like a miracle.

PLEASE try these 3 remedies...EVERY time I feel run-down or get that tickly feeling in my throat I take these 3 things and it NEVER turns into a full-blown cold.
1) Olive Leaf Extract by "Herb Pharm"....it's in liquid form, and has no side effects...it immediately goes to work to kill any viruses in you...and it's all natural.
2) "JarrowDophilus", by "Jarrow Formulas"...it will keep the healthy "flora" in your body in perfect balance which keeps your immune system strong.
3) "Emergen-C" Vitamin C packets by "Alacer"
All three can be purchased at "Whole Foods Market", possibly "Trader Joe's", or call your local health food store to inquire about these 3 products.
EVERY friend and family member who has taken this advice, hardly ever gets sick.
For your throat: "Peaceful Mountain--Throat Rescue"
You will NEVER find a more powerful throat spray which is all-natural....soothing, fast acting, and kills bad bacteria on contact.
You'll see!! :) Get well soon!

Alka Seltzer Orange Flavored Cold Medicine is fantastic. So is Tylenol Multi-Symptom Allergy (I know it says "allergy" but it did wonders for me when I had a sinus infection). I'd pop two of those and be able to go to work I felt so good.

Lots and Lots of Fluids
Resting helps as well
There is no magic cure for the cold its a virus The body has to fight it off.
Sudafed can help nasal congestion
Advil can help any pain
cough drops can help cough.
Time is the only cure

feed a cold starve a fever is an old saying...drink plenty of liquids, and eat alot of chicken soup....
by the way...a common cold last for about 7 days, so if you can last that long...just wait...if it last longer you should see a doctor
