Check out what happened in New Orleans or Baghdad when their rules of law went by the wayside. It didn't take very long.

people would, at first, go into chaos then things would come down and become peaceful. in a few smaller cities in Europe they did away with all traffic laws, i mean signs, strips everything. at first a lot of accidents and pissed off people then a few weeks into it it became very blissful to drive there everyone was courteous and kind to one another (as far as traffic goes). there were still a few bad seeds here and there but why should all these laws be made for a few bad and affect everyone?
it goes to show you people want to bend the rules so if there is no rules to bend then easy goes it for everyone.

Just look at nature, the strong, the smart, the lucky survive, the rest eek out an existance waiting for the carnivores, sickness, old age or accident to arrive. For an example, how do people react when they lose something simple like power during a storm?

The results would be almost immediate. Take a look at New Orleans...how long did it take before the looting started?

I think we would make up rules in one way or another. It's the only way people within a culture can cooperate. Even if it was unspoken or unwritten, there would be societal norms that people were expected to follow.

The state of nature forced us to make rules and become a society. So the answer is, "We would MAKE rules, eventually."

We would unfortunately live like many overseas countries do!!! We are losing rules day by day... With fewer people living by morals and more living by lawsuits and getting even, we are losing our battle... It is tiime for us to return to more simple times and remember what is essential and important and not luxuries and greed... It will take centuries to regain what has been lost...

we'd all be dead in about 10 min. or as long as it took for all the crazy people to get the news.
of course some people would try to create order, but since we have so many more methods for destroying things than creating peace... there wouldn't be a chance of survival.

Have you seen what's been happening in Somalia for the last 10 years? Well, that'd be the US, if we didn't have any rules, and it'd happen PDQ. The bad guys don't hesitate when they think no one's in charge.

The results would be immediate because I would take everything you own and then sell them back to you.
