As a tuition expense, depends on the college.
As a Schedule C - Are you already "in the business" or are you just learning? If you are just starting out, your tuition & other expenses are not deductible.
If it is continuing ed, tuition is deductible. All your oils, creams, sheets, table, bolster, etc are deductible.
I am certain about this because I am a massage therapist and this was discussed in detail in my business class, as well as my tax classes.
Good luck to you

If the massage school is an accredited institution, you might be able to claim the tuition (not sure if vocational schools qualify as higher education). The bedding and creams would not be deductible while you are going to school. When you are out and actually working as a masseuse, then you could write off (deduct) the bedding and creams as business supplies to offset your massage earnings.

After you have your primary certification and lisence and start claiming your massage income as an income, you will be able to write off education. Your initial training, no. Continueing education, yes. It's just like those who go to college for a business degree to start a spa...they cannot write off college bills. Only the interest.

Do you have income to "write" those expenses off to? If so, yes you can write them off as business expenses if that income is directly related to those expenses. As a student you also might qualify for the Hope Education Credit and/or the Lifetime Learning credit. Look into those.

My heavens, I never have been flashed, yet I did by accident flash some human beings as quickly as. i grew to become into in the wellness center a while lower back and desperate to take a stoll to the merchandising area. nicely, I wasn't questioning approximately what i grew to become into wearing and, enable's only say that those wellness center robes do no longer bypass away a lot to the mind's eye on the backside. The nurse got here up from in the back of me and placed a blanket over my shoulders . . . i grew to become into questioning why it grew to become right into a splash drafty lower back there!

Federal tax-wise, I doubt it. You can't write off textboks, lab supplies, etc. for undergraduate education. Only actual tuition expenses can be counted against taxes, and those have specific conditions attached to them.
