Well if u want a mac that u can take with u a laptop, i use a laptop cause i take it everywhere with me cause im always workin on it. But I would say desktop mac, cause u won't have 2 pay a crap load of cash just 4 a new battery unless u know how to keep it healthy. its no trouble keeping it healthy (fully charge then fully discharge. Repeat everytime or once a month.) but hey pick what u want, u could buy both if u wanted to. Desktop as ur Main Computer and a laptop 4 on the go stuff. Well Have Fun.

Hey Carlos

Really comes down to what you are going to use the computer to do. All Apple products come with a Airport card so it's easy to go wireless on either.

You can look at the specs of both the desktops and laptops and find models that are close in their respective performance. Then it's all about cost and functionality rather than which one will perform better.

Here's a link where you can compare models offered by Apple

Also here's CNET.Com top laptop breakdown.

Most Popular Laptops
Apple MacBook Pro (Core 2 Duo 2.33GHz, 17-inch)
Apple MacBook (Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz)
Dell XPS M1710
HP Pavilion dv6000t (Core 2 Duo)
Sony VAIO VGN-TXN15P/W

According to CNET Macs don't suck as much as the 3rd most popular Dell

i have a mac book pro. i use mine for college and i already have 2 desktop computers so i dont have space for another 1.

it realy comes down to what you use it for. laptops are better then desktops in terms of portability also cheap laptops can be better then most costly desktops.

get a good one which ever you pick tho.

depends on what you'll be using it for. i have to transport my mac over the college campus a lot, so i use a laptop. But maybe you'll use it more at home..? In that case a desktop.
good luck
