I'm looking at buying a printer to make CD labels/Covers, print odd photographs and word documents but I am not sure what to get. I have been looking at the HP DJF380 and the Olivetti any way Photo Plus Printer which look quite good and a reasonable price. Any ideas?

Hi one vital thing when looking for a printer the cost of replacement ink cartridges.

There are some good quality printer's printer/scanners etc all singing and dancing but buy ink cartridges for some models and the can be half the cost you paid for the printer literally.

I say look at Epson first every body these days make copy cartridges and they can be as cheap as chips.

Steer clear of Lexmark, HP their cartridges are an arm & a leg.

Avoid Lexmark. Cartridges are too expensive. It's cheaper to buy a new printer than replace the ink cartridges. I use Epson 3in1 and alternative (non epson brand) ink cartridges work well even for photos. The latest WHICH magazine recomends 5 of the Cannon Pixima printers, iP5200R, iP5200 (about £100 but lowest running costs, iP4200(cheapest atabout £70), iP660D & iP6700D

Get an Epson, they print cd's so simply.... use a 'Continuous Ink Supply System' so cheap to run.
