Does anybody know where i can make a start on a career as a car test driver?

Ive been driving for 7 years now, ive also completed my part 1 and part 2 driving instructor course, my driving is up to a high standard (to pass the advanced driving course) when i say a car test driver i mean a possibility into various positions. i.e test driving for a magazine etc or testing brand new vehciles before they go on sale (Quality checks etc) im also a qualified motor vehicle tech, so that should help.

OK this is where you need to start. Each manufacturer has a proving grounds located somewhere. Ford's is in Yucca AZ and GM is around southern CA I think and I don't know where Chrysler's are. The other avenue is to go directly to the magazines and see what they have to offer. If you go say car and driver give them your credentials you might just land a job. Also on that same note have you thought about writing a review column for one of the magazines. An advantage is you always have a brand new car to drive. Apply for those sort of jobs. It is hard to get in but once you crack it the jobs come along OK. Try television companies.

Have you already learnt to drive?

Once that is done, go to an advanced driving school and they should be able to advise you.

Get your VISION TESTED!

I once wanted to be an airline pilot then some asshole tested my vision and discovered I was colour blind....so much for that dream.

Also, You may have a delusion of grandure, please consider this possibility.
