Yes I do I give to a few i give to The McMillan nurses, Marie Curie, Local Radiotherapy Unit. I sometimes give to the RSPCA only I don't give to any others lots of the money given to other charities goes on administration in fact in some cases every pound you give only 5p goes to the charity the rest on administration I think that one of the riches charities for animals is the donkey sanctuary, so at least when I give to the charities that I do I know it is going all to the named charity.

I used to donate to the RSPCA, NSPCC & Marie Curie on a monthly direct debit but it got to the point where I was getting letters almost every month asking me to give more and eventually I decided to cancel them all. It's a real shame but they don't know my financial background yet they are happy to bully me into giving them more and more money.
Also, I know I'm a total pessimist but I hate the fact that a lot of the money is wasted, charities have incrediby high salaries compared to other industries and I'm sure all those mailshots and pens don't come for free.

I only give to two charities.

The Macmillan Trust and Amnesty International.

I spent over 20 years working for a well known charity and would not give to any other organisations in this country. In fact I thing a civilised society should hang its head in shame that we even need charities anymore!

Definately the R.N.L.I., because I live by the sea, and last but not least the Poppy Appeal, because you have to.
