I have a question about Gall stones?

My mother has just found out that she has Gall stones. She is pretty healthy and she is at the right weight. She has beenn taking prednisone which is a medicine for Asthma for 20 years. She has just recently been taken higher doses. Could prednisone caused her to have Gall Stones?

No. Prednisone could not cause gallstones.

Other factors can cause gallstones like, heredity and high-dose birth control pills.

She should talk with her doctor or a Gastrologist about it.
