For me, I just make it part of life. I sell out to the fact that I don't have a choice. I have been going half time for the past 4-5 years, and am about 23 hrs from my degree now. I try to keep the same schedule every term so there isn't a lot of change, and after a while, it just becomes normal. I think the only thing that has helped me is that I truly do not even leave myself a choice.

Try to get your assignments done at least a day before you need to, and keep in mind why you want your degree. Always go to class even if it is pointless. The minute you decide you don't need to go to a certain class is when you lose your focus. Get some study buddies to keep you motivated. If you have heavy reading to do, give yourself an incentive to finish it. Or, if you can get the reading before March, read it so that when you start getting bogged down, you already have read the heavy stuff.

Everyone's different, but you have to make sure you're studying something you're actually interested in in order to truly stay focused.

You'll always have classes you're not too happy about, and all I can say for those times is try to keep your life somewhat organized. Yes, I'm sure you have other responsibilities, but you have to go into it knowing how much time you need to devote to school and studying. Make a schedule if it helps.

Also, get involved in activities that have absolutely nothing to do with your school, like a sport, or some other hobby that you can turn to when you're overwhelmed and bored (going out doesn't count, it has to be something where you set goals if you want to and feel like you can accomplish something). This'll take away that sense we all get that we're buried into our studies and make your life more fullfiling and well-rounded.

Concentrate on your goals. Assess where your motivation comes from. If you are a person who easily quits, you should probably evaluate yourself. Work on your weaknesses. Imagine yourself in your 40's still in the same school trying to finish your bachelor's. Compare the salary of people with HS education only, Associate Deg, Bachelor Deg, and PhD.

Pick an easier school. In the end, most people merely look at the piece of paper (lambskin, whatever) and not at where it's from.

Maybe you're trying to get your B.A. in a subject that your heart just simply isn't into. It might be time to sit back and re-evaluate what it is that you really want to do.

First, what is it that is stopping you from continueing your studies? Are you short credits? Failing? or?
