I saw many red flags...but oh well,,,,can't change the past--most of the problems didn't start until after the wedding date...the man knew exactly what he was doing...sugar and sweetness before the marriage ...gloom and doom after

I ignored the drinking and the fact that he talked way too personally about his ex- as if she were still a growth on his hip. But likethe lady before me, it was sugar and sweet and attentiveness until after the wedding then the ex- moved in our lives like a starving cat looking for meat.

It really does take a year or two to truly get to know the other person and for his true colors to start coming out. Marrying in a matter of months is way too soon. That's a big deal right there.

Make sure you know this person long enough before you get involved.

the abuse, the broken promises, all my family telling me not too do it, my maid of honor asking if I wanted her to keep on driving and skip the wedding, the minister asking me for about 5 mins if I was sure I wanted to get married!! Those were all little red flags that I didn't listen too and now.....I have to pay!

First, if the chick wants you to knock her up right away. This is a huge red flag. If you have kids, it is inifinately more complicated if you ever have to split.

Also, I you are going to regret not having met/screwed other wemen befefore settling down, this is another red flag.
