i know alot of places to get free sheet music, but none of them have this piece.

No, but you might want to try and find a re-mastered copy
of the show and record the sound track off the intro. Someone
could notate a simple lead sheet and you could play it from
there. Also try to look in Movie and T.V. anthologies of collections
of music from early television series. Check out your local
music store and ask them to pull up "The Theme From
Route 66"....on their computers to see who's recorded it
and go from there. An independent store will probably do
this for you and perhaps let you make a recording off the
C.D. while you're in the shop.

i don't know if it willhelp, but anytime I need something that has been published, my first source is Powell's Books in Portland Oregon. you can google their web site, call, email or write them. They are the most helpful resellers I have ever used.
