Okay, I am in 6th grade and need to read a biography for my book report and I would like to do some kind of a rock star that isn't a drugee. Any ideas?

Read "Shaky" Neil Young's biography. It is a great read and also contains a lot of information about Rock's formative years.
Although, Neil has been know to smoke Marijuana the book has little or no reference to it…

Good Luck, Man, I'm pretty sure most well known rock stars are, or at least used to be, druggies. Maybe you should write about someone who didn't die, and actually learned something from their mistake. I suggest; Kerry Livgren, from Kansas, U2's Bono, who is known for being an amazing humanitarian. Or, you could go for the dead ones, and talk about their mistakes.

Richie Valens, Buddy Holly, and the Big Bopper all died in a plane crash. There are tons of books about them, in fact their crash inspired singer Don McLean's popular 1971 ballad "American Pie", and immortalized February 3rd as "The Day the Music Died".
