I'm 13 and i started when i was 12, but it depends on the girl, and what their into. I'm not sexually active or anything but it depends on your friends, and what everyone else is doing.

The answer to this is all relative. If a girl is in high school and wearing tight pants, it is appropriate to wear a thong. If she can drive a car, she can wear a thong - this is mostly because she can literally drive to the store on her own and buy the thong. It is, however, something to be discussed within the family because sooner or later one is going to appear in the communal laundry basket and it shouldn't have to be a surprise to whomever finds it. If the girl and her mother cannot agree on this, there are plenty of seamless panties that one can buy (try victoria's secret). They aren't as taboo and they don't show threw pants, plus they are WAY more comfortable!

i would say like14 or 15, when fashion becomes important in their lives, i dont think thongs have anything to do with sex just comfort and fashion. When ever they fell comfortable enough wearing and buying them.

my opinion..............when they have become sexually active or are getting close to it. Unless of course they are wearing clothes that you have to wear a thong with, and if they are young they shouldn't be wearing clothes like that!

I was twelve when I got my first one, I don't think the age matters it's all about the not wanting a panty line.
