I own a 98 Oldsmobile Intrigue. I took off the panels and took a look for myself. I figured it was off track but it seems I was wrong. The motor for the windows is still kickin but the windows just still slide down even though they arent "Derailed".

Sounds like the motor is the issue. It may be dying because it no longer has the power to push the window up and hold it in place. The motor controls that so I would think of changing that first.

It may be a cable driven power window regulator & if it is,it's hard to see if the cables are broken. If it's a direct drive regulator, make sure the plastic piece between the motor and tracks isn't broken.
