reverse lights?

i have an 88 chevy caprice with a police package. my reverse light comes on when i'm shifting from parked to reverse, but as soon as it drops into reverse the reverse lights go out. i tried to find the switch under the steering column and no luck. Any ideas as to where the switch would be on this car??

That's where it is.
It's up kind of high.

Switch is on the transmission with fords, might be the same with your chevy. Usually easy to adjust.
