who should i take?
Roy Halladay Miguel Tajeda
Jake Peavy Mark Teixeira
Brandon Webb Manny Ramirez

I would love to take Tejada next and here's why:
-I don't like the propsect of having Halladay being healthy for the whole season.
-Jake Peavy is a nice bounceback candidate but with the offseason trouble might linger him. Either way, he an alternative at best.
-Teixeira is going to put another 30 HR, 100 RBI season, but there are several 1B that can do that in later rounds.
- I'm not buying the hype of Brandon Webb, despite winning the Cy Young only because no one from the NL step up.
-Manny, along with Tejada, is another alternative for power, but you got Soriano in the OF position already
That leaves me with Tejada, who's playing at a thin position (SS) and you should capitalized that.

Roy Halladay and Miguel Tejada
These two are probably your best option because Mark and Manny are not as reliable as they used to be. (Manny is great, but there could be some ripple effects from J.D. Drew's entrance into the lineup)
Roy Halladay is extremely better than Peavy and Webb. Peavy doesn't have the stuff, and Webb doesn't have the team.

Tiexiera is fantasy fodder.. nevermind him this early in the draft.
I'd go for either Roy Halladay or Miguel Tejada... probably Halladay to be honest, cant replace good pitching.
Then again.. i'dve taken Halladay before Carpenter, but those are my personal fantasy scouting reports.
