Oh my...advice?
Honestly luv, the best advice I could give to someone is...keep going! Don't stop! Just do it!
There will be times when you feel that you can't do it. Times when you think the whole world is smarter than you. Trust me, if everyone else can do this, you can too.
When you come to that mountain in your way (and you will) say to yourself that there is no way I'm going to allow this very small part of school to stop me from accomplishing all that I can and all that I want to be!
Whew! You'll be fine. The Science courses demand that you memorize new terminology. That's all.
Wishing you the best of luck in your endeavors luv!

When it comes to exams and essays, read around the topic. Dont just quote what it says in your notes. That gets you a pass, but additional information from other sources will get you a good pass.
Keep up to date with all your notes and assignments. If you leave things to the last minute you wont get a thorough job done.
Plan study time as well. I know it sounds silly, but if you have other stuff to do as well, you really need to make sure you give yourself enough time to do everything.
Pick modules that you think youll enjoy, not just the ones you need. There are a lot of interesting topics in psychology and a lot of boring stuff - some will be compulsory but you should get some choice in what you do.
Make sure you get time off to do things that are nothing to do with your course - too much work makes jack a dull boy etc.
Above all enjoy it. When it gets tough just think of all the lovely cash youll be earning at the end of it!!!!

Psychology today has a big focus on biology so make sure you know your basic biology. Particularly action potentials, hormones etc.

Psychology is also a really big topic and you're not going to like everything. If you do you're really lucky. At degree you cover such a range of topics so liking it all is unlikely.

Don't be put off if you don't know where you fit on the paradigm scale. By this I mean if you don't know whether you should be a cognitive psychologists, a humanist... basically a scientist or a philosopher.

Psychology is a lot of fun! I hopoe you enjoy it as much as I am!

I would advise you to be prepared before you commence your course.Read a lot of psychology books and familiarise yourself with all the theories and perspectives. 'Gross' books cover all areas of psychology, I have 'mind and behaviours'. Also get yourself an A-Z book on psychology. Good luck!!
