I was diagnosed with preeclampsia, and my doctor prescribed bumetanide (Miccil). I took 1 mg a day for 22 days until I read it could be harmful, is it?

You need to continue taking it if your doctor said so. If you don't, you can suffer from seizures, high blood pressure, pre-term labor, and your baby could die.

It can be harmful, but benefits outweigh the risks.
It is a category C drug, meaning drugs should be given only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus.

Not teratogenic in animals but at high doses it is embryocidal, causing fetal growth retardation and delayed ossification.
No adequate human data but reported association with cardiovascular defects in 1st trimester exposure.

Diuretics in general suppress lactation thus should be used cautiously.
