Then wouldn't it be in their best interest to get people poor? So why would people think that Dems actually want to help them?

They claim the Republicans are all rich, white families, but the people who didn't earn their money - the ones who have been filthy rich for generations - are the Democrats.

The rich people who earned their money are conservatives because they understand what it is to work hard for a dollar.

Charitable giving was much, much higher before the government started stealing a large portion of our paychecks every week. People were able to give to the charities that fit their morals, standards, and ideals. Now, the government takes our money and gives it to young girls who choose to get knocked up and crack hos.

Why do the Democrats think that people who sit back, watch Jerry Springer, and do nothing with their lives deserve my hard-earned money? When I donate to charity, it's to help people who help themselves.

that's a rooster or the egg question. Are human beings poor because of the fact they smoke OR does smoking cause them to poor? Smoking is a call. maximum babies in poor families are and could stay the recipients of the advantages of the infant Healthcare application.

ABC News/Syracuse University study showed that 24 of the Top 25 Most Charitable States are Red States, and that poor southern Conservatives give more to charity than wealthy Liberals in San Francisco. It just proves that Liberals want socialism/communism and don't give a damn about the poor.

this is so ridiculous. dems do care for the poor. it wouldn't matter if every poor person became middle class and we have no one below poverty level- then we'd fight for the middle class.

Good question. And it's one that I don't know how to answer. Maybe the Democrats do try to make people poor. They are the ones who increase taxes, instead of give tax cuts like the Republicans.
