The politicians everywhere being corrupt without any exception, very often they mislead people. They less seek good of the people or nation. They neither follow their religion or their own conscience. If they are not upright how can they decide on such matters such as reliogion, ethics, moral issues; such as gay marriage, euthanasia, divorce? Moreover they are not the authority nor they are qualified to decide upon such matters. Should we depend on them to solve religious, ethical, spiritual problems?

When you live in a society mutual respect is very important for peaceful co-existence. The politicians do not have the power in their hands to do whatevr they wish to do..

We, the public have empowered them with an office that has the power to enact certain rules and regulations that have gone though a public decision making process.

If that decison making process is faulty, then the public has every right to reject it or at least lodge an official complaint against it.

The rules or laws should never be based on the whims and fancy of a single person.

As the society evolves so does religion, ethical principles and morality based upon what we know today.

Personally, such issues DO NOT fall under the jurisdiction of the government. The entire point of being free is so that WE may make those decisions for OURSELVES.

You make an excellent point, why should I accept the laws created by a "person" with the moral aptitude of satan?

They do, and can do, just about anything they want, as long as the "People" do nothing.

90 percent (or whatever) want this or that...what do the 90 get.... they get what the 3 ot 10 percent want.

If u want to open a can of worms? Who has any moral authority by todays standards?
