I have been watching Tom & Jerry for some time and I have noticed Jerry is always the one who starts it. Tom is just over there sleeping next to his bowl of milk, then Jerry, a.k.a., The Devil's Mouse, finds some way to wake him up, mostly in a way that is hurtful. Jerry needs to hit the road. Oh, how I hate him! I mean, really, if you don't want to get hurt, don't make them make you get hurt. Move away, Jerry, GET OUT OF MY LIFE!!!!! Anyone agree?

I always wanted to see Tom catch that mouse at least once, cuz he was a little instigator. I also wished I could see the coyote catch the roadrunner, he tries so hard and never gives up but alas it has yet to happen.

Personally I think that Jerry is the nice one. But as you can see,he always starts it. But then again, Tom always chases him. But the only reason is that he gets frusterated with Jerry. Actually, I think Tom is the nice one now that I think about it. I do not think that Tom and Jerry is not a very good show for chidren to be watching. It shows voilence, even though it seems like an good show for kids. Jerry and Tom are cruel to eachother, an awful example. For people with young children, try Disney Channel. It is humorous and teaches kids lifeskills, even though the kid doesn't know it!

It’s a communication thing. A few years back maybe 10, they did a Tom and Jerry movie. It the beginning the two don’t talk. Then a third party talks to them and they both answer. Then it’s I did not know you could talk. But I think you are right even in the movie Jerry then has some smart remark to make to Tom.

I liked the Tom and Jerry movie where they figured out each other could talk and worked together as a team. But yes Jerry is an asshole.

The nice one in Tom and Jerry is the dog...
Jerry is like a little sibling that is jealous of the older sibling, so they start something just so that the oldest gets in trouble

I think tom is the nice one.... cos most of the time he just gets picked on by Jerry (who can't mind his business)... but on the other hand, tom is mean at-times... even when Jerry is not doing anything.... i guess its left to the viewer to know for sure who's nasty from their own different views...
take pinky and the brain... i think brain's the stupid one, but the animators sure made it look like brain (what with the name and evil genius plans and all) was the smart one.
In my opinion, i think Jerry is the mean, but u are free to believe what u want, because neither Hannah nor Barbera are going to tell us.

I know what you mean. Jerry typically causes the problems.
Sometimes Tom is the one who starts things.
Like when Jerry is minding his own business like in the bowling episode.

I actually think that Jerry is the nice one. I mean, the poor little mouse is doing its job, running around looking for crumbs. Then Tom takes it upon himself to go chase the poor thing all over the house. I love that cartoon...it's so funny!!

Yup, Jerry is the antagonizer, Tom just wants his milk or his food, or his sleep, and here comes Jerry!! I'd smash him with a fireplace scraper too!!

JERRY! Jerry, Jerry, Jerry is the guilty one! yes, Tom starst fights, but that is only because he likes Jerry so much! and for a little guy Jerry is such a brat! he should put a stop to his evil actions at once! if he doesn't, i will.
