both sports generate enormous amounts of money, unlike the hardly known sport of curling (ice). isnt it time that these widely known/loved sports were officially recognised.

There's so much commercial consideration that goes into deciding if games should be added- I'd agree there are some things currently in the games (though I wouldnt count curling, since it's a traditional sport) that probably should be eliminated and others that should be added.

I think they primarily concern themselves with marketability though. How entertaining would the average viewer find it to watch Olympic darts or Olympic fishing on TV? Personally, I'd find both sports boring as dirt to watch, regardless of how much I enjoy actually taking part in both activities. Some things just dont make good tv. And nowadays, if it isnt good tv, then it doesnt sell- and if it doesnt sell, they wont add it.

NO! I do not think it's time that darts and fishing were recognized as Olympic sports. If you're going to do that you might as well add bowling, chess and race car driving while you're at it! And ps: I don't think curling should ever have got to be an olympic sport either.

They might generate money, but not excitement...Then they would have to have watching grass grow as a sport, watching paint dry....No
