Conservatives are for a smaller central government with more power vested in the states. With that being said, this is a terrible law and it's a perfect example of politician selling out their constituency. Most conservatives in Texas do NOT support this law.

I think it's pretty lousy too, but the truth is that the democratic party is doing this and without the permission of the parents. Young teens are not at risk for cancer later on in life unless they have relations with a man who can infect them with the virus. This is a medical finding. Not only that, they also said NOW, that it is not absolutely effective against that strain. However, it's the liberals who instituted his mandatory vaccine.
To me, it should be a parental choice, not the choice of government, so I agree.
And some other things the liberals have done is to arrange with the companies that write the new books for the elementary through high school are being told they must include the gay lifestyle so that children have their options open which way they would prefer to live; and that they want to point out all the successful homosexuals.
That's fine to let people have equal time regarding successes; however, the department of education did this act during the summer months last year, so that the parents would not pay any attention or be brought into the discussion. It think it should be up to the parents and not the department of education to teach these things. They underestimate the parental oversight and do not wish for them to have a say. I'm just wondering how many of you were aware of that.

He may be a Republican, but that certainly is not a conservative position. I believe conservatives as a whole would disagree with Gov Perry.

Perry is only one in a few conservatives that agree with this plan. Mostly its liberals and the drug company that produces the vaccine.
