Yes there should be a dress code or uniforms. I wish that all schools would go to uniforms. Too many girls walk around with way too much showing. While sometimes the dress codes go a little too far and tend to be sexist they are in place for a reason. It is so that you present yourself in a respectable manner.

The reason that I would like schools to go to uniforms is that school is a place for learning not a fashion show. If you have a lot of money you can really stand out when you are allowed to dress as you please. On the flip side of that you can really stand out if you don't have a lot of money but not in a good way. A uniform takes some of that stigma away. Girls will compete regardless with shoes and accessories but it won't be as cruel to the "have not's" at the school. A uniform puts everyone on a more or less even playing field not to mention that it make the life of a parent easier when it comes time to buy school clothes.

I think it's a good idea to have dress code. Duhh.
But uniforms? No. I hate them. Even though I've never worn them, I still don't want to.

People should be able to go to school or whatever and express themselves however they want to. For all the kids at my school, or any other school for that matter,

If they want to wear slutty clothes showing they're personal areas and stuff, that's their problem.
They'll just get in trouble.

So yeah. I think all schools, even at work, need a dress code. Not uniforms though. They're just lame.

Public schools as the English know the term are extremely rare here. Some have a dress code. 99.99% of all the schools are state run. Their dresscode, if there is one, will be simple and usually be along the lines of cover all the essential bits, don't wear gang colours. Quite a few will not allow you to wear anything on your head, no caps, etc.

Uniforms - no.
Dress code - yes, but most schools' dress codes are overly restrictive. Spaghetti straps aren't necessarily a bad thing, nor is two or three inches of midriff, nor is a skirt a couple of inches shorter than fingertip-length.

I dont know where i stand on that. I dont agree with uniforms because it takes away the individuality of students. It makes us all conform and its like their sucking the creativity right out of us. On the other hand,it prepares you for the real world, like getting a job. I hate uniforms personally.

yea i tink a schools should have a dress code, but NOT uniforms cuz. A if u let kids wear wat they want its a way for them to express themselves which is good. I just dont wanna go to school and see sum 1 `s but and see their boob falling out of ther tank top. So yea dress code but not unifroms.

I think my life in high school would have been much easier if we had had uniforms. Then I just would have had bad hair, instead of bad hair compounded with stupid clothes.
