yes..good or you not taking these OTC drugs
Schulze says his patient's tell him this is the cure for the common cold.
http://herbdoc.com/p49.asp
But you can make it yourself (but he uses 100% oprganic)..just take habero peppers (cautuin hot..may want to start with something not so hot first to see if it helps as these are the hottest peppers in the world..just astart with jalapenos or something first only going to habereros if it doesn't work, so mix these in a blendar
hot peppers hot garlic hot onions (not heated just spicy hopt)
fresh horseradish root (will need to chop it first if you don't have a vitamix like me as it will break the blender) and raw apple cider vinegar )or regular if you must)..blend and strain and take juice or eat it..maybe you could add some salsa for taste..
also juice fast using fresh squeezed/juiced produce, herb teas and potassium broth (see recipe here) http://curezone.com/schulze/herbal_5day_kidney_cleanse.asp
once I had a cough for months and I went on a juice fast and it was gone in three days..I also did a lung mucus cleanse with it
In this book http://www.healthyhealing.com/product.esiml?PID=539 is the lung - mucus cleanse

There is no cure but you can alleviate symptoms:
Lemon drinks boost your vitamin C levels, very important
You could boost your Vitamin C by taking all natural VitC tablets, some people go above the RDA for a few days.
you could use Menthol to help clear a blocked nose
or Eucalptus; both are more effective.
I'd also take Garlic, which is probably anti-viral
Loads of sleep and rest to help your body fight the infection
Turmeric may also be a good herb to take plenty of too - no experience of it yet, tho.

Try sucking on Strong Mints they are cheaper than the usual cough sweets and far more effective. As for releif try your local health food stores as they will have an alternative way of treating a cold. In the future try taking the flu jab, I have not had a cold since I had it- touch wood.

well....the people in my family used to do this: It might not cure it right away, but makes it easier to deal with!
a water glass. Fill it with a big spoon of honey, real squeezed lemon, and whiskey. They used to warm it, but I am sure you can even drink it cold. Take it before bed. Then get a good night's sleep. Repeat until the cold is gone. Like I said, it might not cure it, but it sure makes it tolerable.

There is no cure for the common cold yet. There are a couple of new symptom relievers out now, they have been advertising them on the tele. Go and ask your chemist! Good luck!

you make it difficult without pills or lemon drinks
i would have adviced a couple of stiff drinks
vodka/rhum /cognac/whiskey,with fresh lemon becouse it makes you sweat.
and than knock yourself out with temazepam
sleeping tablets.
the only other old way is, buy some liquid menthol, take a tub with real hot water
put the menthol in it and cover your head with a towel, so that the vapours will make your nose and eyes running, not very pleasant but it helps
