as an american i love british people and their culture, they seem educated in the arts where as we focus our education on technology and money, there seems to be an overall acceptance of humanity and here it seems like an overall acceptance of the "normative white christian male".

I'm English and just want to say that I too am touched by the answers here thus far, I wanted to see what the answers were after I saw the question, I expected them to be derogatory Thanks, I think Americans and Australians are, like most cultures i.e in the majority, nice folks

In the US, British have a reputation of having bland food, and good orators, and in some ways including speech and manners to be more refined than Americans.

Religion IS a handy tool to incite the masses for those in power. Where the crusades really about religion or money and empire? You will need to study history and draw your own conclusions.
