I never done it. i'm not a talker,, i'm a quiet guy. But those are the most abundant jobs in my city, for some reason.

i mean, aside from the fact i can't speak like what is expected , i know computers and filing and all that.

I'm looking for entry level jobs and receptionist is the only thing available
But they always want receptionist to be bubbly and jumpy.

So if i'm not talktive and outgoing, is it even worth it to try reception..cause that's the only thing there is..so i must try no?

Being professional and proficient in your job as a receptionist is much more important than bubbly. If you can speak clearly and do the tasks that they need done correctly and on time you will be on the ground floor to move up within the company. There's nothing worse than a really bad receptionist who bites your head off when you call a business.

Not all male receptionists are bubbly. If you need a job, take the receptionist position. Who knows, maybe other postions within the company will open and you can apply for one of those. Perhaps in he mailroom or file room.

Try the receptionist position, you don't have to be bubbly. Answer the phone and do what they ask of you.

Do that while you are looking for something else and who knows you might be able to move up there.

sure, why not? worse thing that can happen is you don't get the job. but you might luck out and get a job you like.
