they have to give you your money back, make a complaint to ebay and they will suspend their account unless the seller refunds you. Also, if you use paypal they HAVE to give you your money back.

You must check the members policies. eBay is the auction site to be able to sell the item, however, each seller sets thier own policies. You should always look at the members feedback score, and the length of time they have been selling on ebay as well. You are also able to email the seller and aske them specific questions through ebays email system.

I have been a seller for 7 years. I have excellent feedback, however, not every seller is reputable. If you paid for your item through paypal, there is a dispute system that can be put into place if the item purchased was not as described or is defective.

At the very worst, you will end up losing your money. It is a bit of a chnace you take. I can assure you though, I have never lost my money. In the 7 years I have notonly sold items, but purchased them, there have only been a few times I have had to file a dispute. It was always through paypal, and after they investigated, I did have my full amount of purchase and shipping refunded.

"Buyer beware" is the best advice. Do your homework first and check out the seller!

Most sellers offering a money back guarantee are experienced reputable sellers.
Just contact them and it should not be a problem.
Sellers want to maintain a high positive feedback. If you run into a bad one, you can leave "negative feedback". The only problem with this is that it will usually result in a "retaliatory negative feedback" for the buyer.

A careful ebay member can avoid getting scammed because of ebay's feedback system. Someone with a good feedback rating is likely a good gamble. Also, the combination of e-bay and pay-pal means you can avoid giving out credit card numbers to strangers. Finally, e-bay does indeed gaurantee some transactions.

If they won't give you the money back, file a complaint with ebay. Ebay will intervene. Also, whatever happens, give them a negative review. They may also give you a negative review, but as long as you don't have a lot of negative reviews, it's nothing to worry about.

I have never had a bad ebay experience ever.. I don't know... I guess I would either let it go, tell management or insist on it
