Does anyone remember an electronic toy from the 70s or 80s. It was a letters game and it would say "find the letter a" in a robotic voice and then you would press the letter "a" and so on? I thought it was Speak and Spell, so I paid more than $50 on eBay for one only to find out that it's not the toy I was thinking of.

Does anyone remember this game and know the name of it?

next time you're close to Stansted Airport take a detour to Stansted Mountfichet village, there's a toy museum there and that i may well be shocked in the event that they hadn't have been given the stuff you're asking approximately.

It sounded like Speak and Spell to me too. What was the shape of the game? Could it be Merlin? It had different electronic games in one. Gosh, that's a tough one.

I can tell you it wasn't Merlin. Merlin kinda looked like a red telephone handset and had red led lights and played touch tone like sounds.
